Paloma's Reflection
I learned all about the vampire squid's eating habits, habitat, class, structure, defence mechanisms, and it's reproductive cycle. I learned that it has lights that are very well controlled used as a defence mechanism, and that it gets in a 'pinapple' posture to show it's spines and scare predators. What surpirised me most about the vampire squid was that it ate 'marnine snow'. I have learned that if I am interested and motivated with a topic, and enjoy learning about it, I do much better than if I am not motivated or interested. I have also learned that doing work that you like to do ussually ends up being a lot more fun and you end up avoiding procrastination.
Jake's Reflection
I learned about some very interesting facts about the vampire squid, like how it isn't actually a squid, it's a different kind of cephalopod, and that it eats waste and marine snow. I learned that I shouldn't have too many projects goig on at once. So many projects at once can cause neglect of details and procrastination.
